Congrats are in order for The Real’s Jeannie Mai and Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy, according to a post from the Fox host.
Jeezy, real name Jay Wayne Jenkins, 42, popped the question on March 27 while quarantined with his bae at his Los Angeles home. Jeannie Mai, 41, posted about the engagement on April 6.
“I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life loving you…Yes,” she posted on Instagram with a ring next to the caption.
The “Mr. 17.5′” rapper originally planned to propose on a surprise trip to Vietnam in April, but had to change his plans after the coronavirus pandemic impacted travel. So, like a good man would, Jeezy brought Vietnam to Jeannie Mai. He set up a Vietnam style dinner with decorations included, as reported by People.
Indication of the couple dating was first reported in January 2019, but was not officially confirmed by Jeezy and Jeannie Mai until August 2019 when they appeared at Jeezy’s gala for his nonprofit organization Street Dreamz. However, they were privately dating since November 2018.
This will be the first marriage for Jeezy and the second for Jeannie Mai, who was married to Freddy Harteis for 10 years before getting a divorce in 2017.
Congrats to these two finding love during such a challenging time in the world!
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for one of the MouthSoap’s favorite rappers of all times. “Corporate Thuggin'” and “Sky’s The Limit” forever!!!
