Wu-Tang Clan Mourns The Death Of Popa Wu

Actor, record producer and Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Popa Wu has reportedly passed away at his home in Brooklyn. He was 63.

His cause of death has not been determined, however his death is being confirmed by members of Wu-Tang.

Popa Wu, also known as Freedum Allah, was a mentor to the group. He would often have speaking parts on their albums, citing the philosophies of the Five Percent Nation.

Several friends shared their condolences on social media. Method Man shared a photo of Popa Wu on his Instagram.

Ghostface Killah made a touching post, “Rest in paradise my brother. Forever. Tell Dirt we love and miss him.”

DJ Premier and U-God also posted small memorials.
