TikToker ReesaTeesa caused a stir on the social media platform after deciding to post a 50-part storytelling series about a man who swept her off her feet only for her to discover he’s what she calls a “narcissistic” fraud with a habit of lying for no good reason.
Based in the southern peach state of Georgia, ReesaTessa met her future ex-husband on a dating app. He checked all the boxes, a former arena football player standing tall at 6’5″ and hailing from San Diego State University. Legion was well-equipped for a fresh swindle, telling ReesaTeesa a whole story of how his heart was broken in San Diego because his first wife cheated on him, despite taking in her children by another man. He divorced the first wife and maintained a relationship with the children, even sending them money and tutoring them over the phone after relocating to Georgia due to a job transfer.
ReesaTessa’s first face-to-face encounter with the man known as “Legion” presented him as a godsend, ideal partner when in 2020 he came to her rescue to help her with a flat tire. Not only did Legion accompany her through the inconvenience, but he also paid for the tire to get fixed and apparently did a great job of handling the other men in the shop. It certainly impressed ReesaTeesa, a Georgia State Patrol employee at the time, enough for her to consider dating him and eventually moving him into her three-bedroom townhome after only a few months.

From there, Legion sent ReesaTessa on a wild goose chase of delusional manifesting rituals — well, that’s what viewers are calling it. Two months after moving her dream guy in, ReesaTeesa found out she was with child. It was perfect timing for the couple, who had already made plans to purchase a home together to start a family.
Legion appeared to have everything under control, reassuring ReesaTeesa that they would close on a house by June 2020. Convicted by her faith and a nagging instinct that something was not quite right, ReesaTeesa did a little of her own research on the house they were supposedly purchasing and discovered the property went under contract and eventually sold to an elderly white couple.
It was a major “red flag,” but carrying Legion’s child ReesaTeesa made the conscious decision not to harp on the man who had been lying to her the whole time, and instead, pretended she didn’t want the house because of a high interest rate. Shortly thereafter, she had a miscarriage, which in retrospect she says was a blessing in disguise after a chaotic, whirlwind relationship.

The relationship continued, and so did the lies. For nearly a whole year, Legion dangled the prospect of purchasing a house and brand new vehicles in ReesaTeesa’s face. He would get ReesaTeesa’s hopes up, only to let her down with various excuses and concocted ploys.
ReesaTeesa admits, “A lot of what fueled me staying in this situation really is just the fact that, number one, I didn’t want to be alone. Number two, I didn’t want to look stupid by having the relationship end so quickly for everyone to be like, ‘We told you something was up.’ Number three, I was ready to get married.”
Meet “Legion,” The Man Who Swept ReesaTeesa Off Her Feet
By the beginning of January 2021, she eloped with Legion, tying the knot without her mother, relatives or friends present. The move came out of ReesaTeesa’s desperation for love, she truly thought that Legion was the answer to her prayers. Towards the end of January, ReesaTeesa knew she had made a terrible mistake.
ReesaTeesa is aware some of the revelations of her story makes her look less than competent, but she’s motivated to share with the intention to save another person from being manipulated by a fraud. Her courage to be truly transparent about a relationship gone awry has ranked her as one of the top TikTok stories in the last week with over 300K likes, 32K bookmarks, 15K comments and 6.7K shares, to date. Her follower base has increased to 2.3M with an overall 21.8M in likes.
