Tyler Perry Studios Celebrates Grand Opening With Star-Studded Attendance

The who’s who of Hollywood showed up to the grand opening celebration of the new Tyler Perry Studios location in Atlanta on Saturday.

Formerly Fort McPherson, Tyler Perry Studios has 12 sound stages that sits on 330 acres of land, making it the largest studio outside of Hollywood and the only major film studio owned by a black person.

Fort McPherson used to be a confederate army base utilized during the Civl War. Tyler Perry purchased the lot of land in 2015.

The lot has a 3,500 seat amphitheater, museum, shops, restaurants and a place to help with community causes.

“It’s beyond moving, inspiring, exciting. I can’t even put it into words,” Perry said. “I’m blown away by it.”

The red carpet was star-studded with the likes of Halle Berry, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Ealy, Shirley Caesar, Will Packer, Beyonce, Jay Z, Colin Kaepernick, Whoopi Goldberg, Byron Allen, Ava DuVernay, Taraji P. Henson, Kirk Franklin, Spike Lee, Usher, Viola Davis, Kelly Rowland, Don Lemon and T.D. Jakes.

Oprah Winfrey showed up with her bae Stedman Graham. The couple were not afraid to show their love on the red carpet, happily embracing each other.

Another interesting conversation of the night was Beyonce. She turned up at the event in a beautiful sparkling gold gown and hair gracefully pulled back. Many fans are speculating that the talented star is pregnant. But, those rumors are not confirmed.
