Trying To Lose That Pandemic Weight? Try Working Out To Baby Tate’s Petty Single “Pedi” [Video]

By Betty Bema

Surfing through the saturated market of music that has overloaded my suggestion feeds across platforms lately, I was on the search for something that was energetic to help me get in the mindset of revenge body workout when I discovered Baby Tate’s new music video for “Pedi.”

Not only did she impress with the visuals, but her lyrics were ridiculously entertaining and served as the perfect motivation to jump on that horrific exercise machine that resembles escalator stairs to work off all that pepperoni pizza I ate over the worst part of the pandemic.

In the music video written and directed by Norton, Baby Tate amuses with a fly, fast-paced jig before randomly appearing in some of the most hilarious scenarios that include a cheating boyfriend, a chess tournament, an interracial couple having dinner with parents, and a yoga session. Then, in each setting, Baby Tate transforms to other people who clearly have an issue and ultimately, decide to tap into their petty side.

Baby Tate’s lyrics are even more jarring as she rips into everyone from her ex to a hater.

She raps, “I tell a n***** that I’m f***** on his friend Just so his broke a** don’t hit me up again / I get real evil don’t tempt me / And I do it cause a h** won’t check me / Playing games I’m moving like a chess piece / Calm down cause the queen get deadly (bow bow) / I’m pettier than my toes / I’m prettier than the most / You n***** be sharing clothes / Only got one thing to tell you h***.”

“Pedi” is the ideal song to channel all of your stress or aggression after a long day or a traumatic relationship experience. If none of that applies to you, you can always just add it to your workout playlist to get the blood flowing, heart pumping, and fat cells dying.
