Trae Tha Truth is already in a giving spirit. The Houston rapper showed an incredible act of kindness when he had a special holiday surprise for a family of 11.
The Smith family, containing three adults, eight children, and two dogs, were displaced from their home after a fire broke out on Dec. 6.
All the family members survived the fire, but the catastrophe destroyed all of their holiday decorations and presents. When Trae Tha Truth, 39, learned of the family’s story, he took action immediately.
The “Letter 2 Truth” rapper delivered gift cards, toys and a stereo to the family. The Smith family was overjoyed by his surprise visit.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with expenses. So far, the family has raised $2,708 from 66 donors. Their goal is $15,000.
Trae is known as a major philanthropist and “Hometown Hero” in the Houston area and rap world.
On Saturday, he gave away 50 Christmas trees through his organization Relief Gang. In the past, he has hosted backpack giveaways, community days, and food and toy drives.
