Rising music artist Toosii made a special appearance on the new Fox Soul talk show, THE MIX, on Tuesday. The Capitol Records signee spoke about his storied past, rise to the forefront of the music industry, and even his opinion on Kanye West being on the 2020 electoral ballot.
Toosii has been fortunate to land at No. 1 on the Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart during a year of great adversity. However, at one point, he was homeless living in a motel with several other people.
He believes in the power of self-manifestation. “I don’t look at none of my songs as me capping, or I said anything wrong because at the end of the day it’s all manifestation,” Toosii said in the interview with the panel.
His thoughts on Kanye West’s recently released campaign video was simply, “I’m mad.” Toosii believes that West’s campaign run will split the vote. However, the panel of millennials and Gen-Zers were not shy about their support for the conservative candidate.
Toosii also admits that he doesn’t listen to rap music, although he often appears as a rap artist. Instead, he prefers music from the likes of Billie Eillish, Tim McGraw, and Jason Mraz.
THE MIX consists of a panel of hosts that discuss a range of topics that include Black Lives Matter, current affairs, dating apps, viral trends, and breaking news. The show also have special celebrity guests.
