What is that we hear? A new season of Bridgerton, the clever Shondaland Netflix series that took viewers by storm back in 2020? The ongoing dramatic romance saga continues in Season 3 with Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan) taking a turn at love as she’s courted by Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton).
An official trailer released April 11 reveals that the series will run on Netflix in two-parts. Part 1 will consist of four episodes available to viewers on May 16, followed by four more episodes in Part 2 released on June 13.

Some familiar faces will return to the Chris Van Dusen created series based on novels by Julia Quinn, including narration from Julie Andrews as the one and only Lady Whistledown, and fan-favorites Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury, Polly Walker as Lady Portia Featherington, Bessie Carter as Prudence Featherington, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, and Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton, to name a few.

The first season premiered on Christmas Day 2020 and followed the courtship of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page). It wouldn’t be until March 2022 before viewers received a second season, which followed the love affair between newcomer Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).

Then, viewers were graced with the 2023 six-episode mini series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the riveting backstory of a youthful Charlotte betrothed against her will to King George, and her eventual ascension to a proper Queen. Now, Penelope, who has dealt with the challenges of finding a suitor that appreciates her quirks, will embark on a much-deserved journey to love in the Shonda Rhimes produced hit.
