A rare talent with the most svelte of singing voices is currently rising from the shadows of obscured greatness, and deserves centerstage on the main stage. She goes by GoGo Morrow, known for her neon blue tresses, juniper bronze colored eyes, and bourbon-kissed skin. When you can get past her godsend attributes, there lies an undeniable gift for singing, one GoGo Morrow so flawlessly uses on her new R&B single, “I.O.U.”
Produced by Harmony “H-Money” Samuels, “I.O.U.” does a phenomenal job of showcasing Morrow’s voice as she sings about a person she has “unfinished business” with, despite moving on to a new interest. “I.O.U.” drips with R&B nostalgia in the most complimentary of ways, drawing on the energies of the contemporary R&B foremothers, such as Brandy, Aaliyah, and Beyonce, to name a few.
The accompanying music video, shot by the late director Sebastian Sdaigui, shows Morrow existing in a futuristic world where technology and nature, merged with earth-toned hues, are the background visuals for her sensual storytelling.

The former backup singer to Lady Gaga and former member of Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir, Morrow has been serving grade A R&B for almost a decade before she signed with B.O.E. Records and Khalabo Music, in partnership with Universal Music Canada. The added support aided the May 2022 release of her major-label debut with the single, “In The Way.”

The following month, the Philadelphia native was a featured artist on the 2022 BET Awards Amplified Stage presented by BET and Nissan where she performed the single. The performance did not do her justice with the song being cut off midway. However, the future looks especially bright for the music connoisseur, who is expected to drop a major-label EP soon, and if she delivers the same energy as that in “I.O.U.,” the multiverse is the limit.
GoGo Morrow’s “I.O.U.” is available now on Apple Music and major music streaming platforms.
