It looks like the new year will jump off in the most appropriate (or inappropriate) way — with the return of Rue. The triple Emmy-nominated HBO series will premiere its second season on Jan. 9.
Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria follows high schoolers as they navigate life in a world of temptations and trauma-inducing experiences. Rue, played by Zendaya, continues to deal with the complex emotions that have led her to depression and drug abuse, all while developing an unhealthy obsession with Jules (Hunter Schafer) and carrying a suitcase around town to her addiction recovery classes.
Zendaya is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, and Barbie Ferreira.
Euphoria will premiere Jan. 9 on HBO Max.
