The reality television juggernaut known as The Real Housewives franchise has entertained audiences with some of the most emotionally-charged moments in television history for the past decade.
Clearly, the series centered on wealthy women who may or may not be married attempting to navigate sisterhood has brought a lot of success to its creator Scott Dunlop, executive producer Andy Cohen, and the networks Bravo and Peacock. Enough success for the franchise to expand to so many different regions that it’s difficult to keep track.
There’s the heavyweights The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives of New York City, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Then, there’s the middleweights The Real Housewives of Orange County and The Real Housewives of Dallas. Lastly, are the more newer series The Real Housewives of Potomac, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and The Real Housewives of Dubai.
Even with this extensive list, it doesn’t account for the additional international versions and a few canceled and displaced series in the franchise — or the multitude of various spin-offs!
Speaking of, spin-off The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip is a social experiment that handpicks ladies from different Real Housewives series and brings them together for a fantastical vacation. Now in its second season, the series has joined together Beverly Hills’ Brandi Glanville and Taylor Armstrong, New York’s Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley, Atlanta’s Eva Marcille and Phaedra Parks, Orange County’s Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson, to create the “Ex-Wives Club.”
It was downright comically perfect how more and more housewives squeezed into Jill’s meltdown confessional. #RHUGT2 is total mayhem and I’m obsessed! pic.twitter.com/7llDlcSAQD

At first sight and based on the first season which featured a totally different cast, RHUGT didn’t quite hit as well as the origin shows. However, season two is an entire hoot! The combination of women is giving diva drama and some of the most laughable gagging moments, à la the Golden Girls, Fran Drescher, and even Moms Mabley.
Starting with Dorinda, the head honcho was gracious enough to host the ladies at her luxurious abode Blue Stone Manor, but a few of her strict house rules and constant fussing has gotten under some of the ladies’ skin. Believe it or not, the ladies combat over food, radio shows, and choice words. The quirkiness of Vicki, youthful spirits of Brandi and Tamra, hippie ways of Eva, along with Phaedra’s unwittingly comedic moments makes for a rambunctiously good time.
The way I cackled when Phaedra learned that Dorinda’s only 5 years older than Brandi #rhugt2 pic.twitter.com/QowOqv0W7W

While many Real Housewives fans may be sleeping on the spin-off, as a connoisseur of the franchise, RHUGT2 is more than background noise. It’s a whole entire gem!
Unfortunately, there’s only a few more episodes before the season ends — but no worries, the season three cast has already been revealed. RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Salt Lake City’s Heather Gay and Whitney Rose, Miami’s Marysol Patton and Alexia Echevarria, and RHONY Leah McSweeney will fill the Girls Trip vacancy with filming beginning July 17.

Tamra giving “That’s my opinion” energy was the serotonin boost I *needed* today! #RHUGT2 pic.twitter.com/LS5M2JMO1t
