The MouthSoap Playlist: Quality Control’s Lakeyah Danaee Is Set To Break Records And Your “Windows”

Up-and-coming music artist Lakeyah Danaee imparted her latest single, “Windows,” to her growing fanbase on Friday, Nov. 14. Backed by a slowed version of singer Jasmine Sullivan’s 2008 hit “Bust Your Windows,” Lakeyah flexs her multi-hyphen skills by singing and rapping over the track.

The music visual shows the Milwaukee native dealing with a f–k boy that is caught with another woman by her best friend. Lakeyah — dressed in all-black, hair tied back and carrying a baseball bat — proceeds to bust out the windows of the loser’s car.

She raps, “I blame myself, ignoring what I already knew| Judge me not for how a b—h finna move | Judge me not for what a b—h finna do | If it’s f–k me n—a, then it’s f–k you too | I’m a real good b—h, I got too many options | Real good dick, man this f–k n—a toxic | Broke my heart, this n—a way outta pocket |I got all the proof, I ain’t listening to gossip.”

Signed to the legendary label Quality Control, Lakeyah is one of the newest female rappers to create buzz on the circuit. The 19-year-old rapper, known as “The Female Goat,” has been consistently putting out music, including hit singles “Hear Me Cry” and “Big FlexHer” featuring 42 Dugg. Her current project, The Keymix II, dropped Jan. 12.
