You know her for her unforgettable contributions to the acting world, and now Priyanka Chopra is trying her hand as a restaurateur. The actress announced that she will be opening a new restaurant in NYC called SONA.
“I’m thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into,” Chopra said in a post on Instagram. “SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavours I grew up with. The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef @harinayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country.”
Along with the caption, Chopra posted a photo showing her and her husband Nick Jonas performing a “small intimate Puja,” a prayer ceremony to bless the space designed by Melissa Bowers.
In addition to her new business venture, Chopra has been pretty busy in Hollywood. She recently wrapped the shooting of The Matrix 4 and Text for You, and made a memorable impression as Pinky Madam in the Netflix hit The White Tiger.
SONA is expected to open in late March.
