‘The Breakfast Club’ Receives Nomination For Class Of 2020 Radio Hall Of Fame

One of our favorite radio shows of all time, The Breakfast Club, has been nominated for the 2020 class of the Radio Hall of Fame.

DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God are up for consideration in the Active Network/Syndication (10 years or more) category, according to iHeart Radio. The Breakfast Club will be competing with Larry Elder, Jaime Jarrin, and Kim Komando.

In other categories, Sway Calloway of Shade 45, Angie Martinez of Power 105.1, and Donnie Simpson of Majic 102.3 are among nominees in various other categories.

Voting will start on Monday, July 13. The induction ceremony will take place in October with the date and time details yet to be released. However, the ceremony will take place on live radio broadcast to avoid issues with COVID-19.

For a decade, The Breakfast Club has been the “most dangerous morning show,” entertaining us with intriguing conversations and outrageous interviews.

Some of the most standout moments for the radio hosts include interviews with Ray J, Birdman aka Baby, K. Michelle, Hillary Clinton, Tekashi 6ix9ine, Damon Dash, Jay-Z, Lil Mama and Nicki Minaj.

Lately, the morning show has made an effort to be more responsible and substantive with their platform by inviting on public figures and personalities with meaningful messages and movements.

The Breakfast Club is known for their crazy fun segments that include “Donkey of the Day,” “Get It Off Your Chest,” “Rumor Report,” “Ask Yee,” and “Tell Us Why You’re Mad,” to name a few.
