That Time When Brittany Renner Let Us See Her Vulnerability About Needing To Have Control

The always beautiful Brittany Renner has a social media presence that many aspire to. Yet, behind the glamorous makeup, dazzling hairstyles, and tantalizing outfits is a bruised and battered soul with a story to tell.

The former soccer player posted a YouTube video back in February titled Time To Expose The Truth detailing her long-suffering battle with her love life. She admitted that she would hide behind the persona of being an independent woman and having money to harness control over others. Her hard exterior was used as a defense mechanism to make her less inclined to get hurt by people.

It all stemmed from an abusive relationship she had in the past that left her emotionally broken. It wouldn’t be long before Renner shed tears in the video as she talked about the impact on her spirit.

“The verbal insults began to chip away at my spirit,” she said. “Despite what I showed online, at that time, I did not stand up for myself. I allowed myself to be vulnerable with the wrong person and I equated vulnerability with powerlessness.”

She also revealed that she silently suffered and did not allow herself to express her emotions in the moment, which proved to cause an explosive end as Renner admitted she put her hands on her ex-boyfriend in an effort to harm him.

Despite expressing online that she is OK with not being a wife or a mother, on the YouTube video she went on to admit that she strives to have a family one day, contrary to what people know about her.

In another admission, she reveals that her Instagram life is nothing like her real life. It’s all a facade.

“I was living an illusion and lies, and it’s comfortable there, but the thing about not living in your truth is you don’t get anywhere,” she said as she ended the video.

It’s nice to see beautiful women like her allow themselves to have a moment to come to terms with their life choices. This unboxing of the Instagram socialite gives those who look up to her a chance to aspire to be themselves instead of morphing into the standards created by the virtual world of social media and people they don’t even know. Kudos to Brittany.
