Taco Bell Kicks Off $10 Nationwide Subscription Service, Taco Lover’s Pass

When it comes to tacos in the fast food franchise world, there’s not that many options. Of course, you have the Taco Cabanas, El Pollo Locos, and even Jack in the Box. But, nothing compares to Taco Bell, which has been servicing the U.S. for the last 60 years.

Now, the Yum! Brands company is experimenting with the digital subscription space by offering its customers the Taco Lover’s Pass. For just $10 a month, customers can redeem one of seven taco offerings per day for 30 consecutive days at participating U.S. locations. Customers can choose between the original Crunchy Taco, Crunchy Taco Supreme, original Soft Taco, Soft Taco Supreme, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Doritos Locos Tacos, and the Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme.

“Tacos are in our DNA, and we’re thrilled to offer our most ordered menu item through the Taco Lover’s Pass,” Zipporah Allen, Taco Bell’s Chief Digital Officer, said. “It’s a fun way to continue offering unique ways to reward our most loyal fans through our digital access points.”

Taco Lover’s Pass is available exclusively through the Taco Bell app. Part of an initiative for digital innovation, Taco Bell first tested the subscription at a Tucson, Arizona location in Sept. 2021.

Among the many digital experiments that the brand has implemented, Taco Bell has offered customers exclusive privileges on its app that includes the Taco Bell Rewards Program, digital-only Build Your Own Cravings Box, Friendsgiving Party Pack, and Cyber Monday deals. Early access to new food products, such as the Naked Chicken Chalupa and the Quesalupa, were also granted.

If you’re a fan of Taco Bell, unless you have incredible discipline, then you know that just having one taco is nearly impossible. So, the Taco Lover’s Pass will play just like a teaser and surely result in customers buying more with every single trip.
