Entertainment veteran Syrinthia Studer has received another promotion within the ViacomCBS family. Formerly the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions at Paramount Pictures, Studer is now the new Executive Vice President of Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Films.
She will spearhead the logistics for acquisitions, development and production of live-action features for the Kids & Family division of the Gen Z studios.
“Syrinthia’s extensive experience in film across platforms, along with her global understanding of today’s content landscape, make her an invaluable asset to Awesomeness and Nickelodeon’s expanding film business,” said Shelley Zimmerman, Executive Vice President of Live-Action Studio at Awesomeness and Nickelodeon. “We’re thrilled to have her join the team and lead the charge in creating an exciting new slate of projects and content partnerships that reflect the passions, curiosities and diverse profile of our audiences.”
In her previous role, Studer oversaw the acquisition of original films for worldwide distribution via Paramount. There, she would acquire films Boyhood and Book Club, grossing over $100M.
“Awesomeness and Nickelodeon have created such impactful movies for screens worldwide that reflect the different realities that young people live and play in,” Studer said in a statement. “I’m excited to join the team and expand the studio’s successes and find compelling stories from new voices.”
