Hip hop connoisseurs and crime drama crazed fans are peeping the latest addition to the Power universe with a surprise teaser of the prequel Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
Following the finale of Power Book II: Ghost, the new Starz series created by Sascha Penn (Creed II, Survivor’s Remorse) is set to premiere in 2021. The teaser shows Kanan, the character played by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, transform into Kanan Stark, played by actor Mekai Curtis.
Set in the 1990s, the story will chronicle the early years of Kanan as he navigates the underworld of hustling in his native Southside Jamaica, Queens in New York.
Other actors starring in the series include Omar Epps (Fatal Affair), Malcolm M. Mays (Snowfall), Patina Miller (The Hunger Games), and Hailey Kilgore (The Village).
