Actress and political commentator Stacey Dash was arrested for domestic violence in Florida on Sunday, Sept. 30th, according to TMZ. Dash called police to her home in Pasco County after a domestic dispute between her and her husband of over one year, attorney Jeffrey Marty.
When the police arrived, Marty allegedly had scratches on his arm. He complained to cops that she had attacked him with slaps and pushes. But, Dash’s manager reported to TMZ that the former Fox correspondent was acting in self-defense.
Apparently, Dash claims that the scratches occurred when Marty was choking her and she was trying to get out of his grasp.
The two were married in a private ceremony in April 2018 after 10 days of meeting. At the time, Dash was campaigning to run for California’s 44th congressional district until she withdrew from the race.
Stacey Dash is being held on a $500 bail.
