Sony Pictures upcoming David Leitch action flick is full of some epic reunions. Bullet Train, based on the novel of the same name by Maria Beetle, tells the story of Ladybug, a trained assassin who desires to retire but is put on a mission to obtain a briefcase from a bullet train traveling from Tokyo to Morioka. The mission is not as easy as it seems when other assassins onboard are charged with the same mission.
Reeling off their last meeting on the set of the action adventure The Lost City, Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock lead the bill on the Sony pic. The two make a nice pairing given their $104 million domestic box office draw for the Paramount pic back in March. Rumor has it that Pitt did nearly all of his own stunts in the Japanese influenced film.
Bullet Train goes even further to unite FX’s Atlanta actors Zazie Beetz and Brian Tyree Henry, making for an intriguing combination of chemistry. The high-octane film also includes LatinX music icon Bad Bunny, who is successfully embarking on a big box office Hollywood career, with one of his most notable gigs being in F9: The Fast Saga.
The summer movie is penned by Kôtarô Isaka and Zak Olkewicz.
Bullet Train releases in theaters on Aug. 5, 2022. Watch the trailer below:
