Social Media Star Keraun Harris Delivers New Hilarious Series ‘God Save The King’

Comedian and social media star Keraun Harris, better known as King Keraun, ascended from Houston, Texas to take his shot at Hollywood and was met with substantial confirmation that he made the right decision.

Harris’ career is off to a good start, appearing on HBO’s Insecure and ABC’s Black-ish. Now, fans have a chance to see the rising talent on his new series God Save The King.

King Keraun, 31, plays himself in God Save The King, a digital series about the social media sensation leaving the southern comfort of Houston to embark on a journey to Los Angeles with the intention of becoming a Hollywood star.

The Complex series premiered just before the New Year, Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, on Facebook Watch.

Episode one, Land of Wood and Holly, shows an optimistic Keraun as he balances being in a new city while parenting his daughter. The nearly ten minute episode features Keraun’s hilarious encounter with his new LA agent, played by James Hal Hardy (Social Animals).

On episode two, Holy Drip, starring up-and-coming actress Bree DeLee (Thick and Thin), Keraun arrives at a photographer’s house to take new headshots but learns there’s more involved than just taking photos.

Other actors starring in the series include, MaryAnn Reyes, Morris Barco, Michelle Threatt, Tristan Maghett, Jessica Lee, Kevin Tate and Aaron Branch.

What makes God Save The King so comedic and relatable are the common nuances of adjusting to a new town like Hollywood.

Any person that has moved to LA in pursuit of a career in the entertainment industry can understand what it feels like to be immersed in a totally unfamiliar culture and having to align with it in order to succeed.

Simone Shepherd wrote the script, who is also producing alongside Cynthia R. Harris (Sunday Best), Samson Crouppen (Laff Mob’s Laff Tracks), and Keraun Harris.

Harris’ story is incredibly inspirational. The oldest of five children, Keraun made a name for himself posting 15-second clips on Instagram, giving him experience in acting, producing and editing.

The comedian has successfully built his social media following to 2.2 million followers on Instagram and 88.4 thousand subscribers on YouTube.

Soon, he would build his credits through productions Face Value, Welcome To Lift Yourself Plantation and All Def Digital’s Major Deal.

Episodes of God Save The King drop every Monday at 2 PM PST on Facebook Watch.
