Earlier on Tuesday, Houston rapper Slim Thug went on Instagram to report that he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Slim Thug, real name Stayve Thomas, said that he tried his best to avoid the virus by practicing social distancing and proper hygienic measures, only leaving his house for food. He did experience some symptoms such as a fever and a cough.
“As careful as I’ve been, self quarantining and staying home…I might of did, went and got something to eat — nothing crazy, stayed in my truck, had masks, gloves, everything on and my test came back positive,” said Slim Thug on the video.
Houston officials just recently issued an order to stay-home-work-safe as 300 cases of the virus have been verified. People who violate the order could possibly be fined if they are not out for essential needs. The order lasts until April 3rd.
