Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury Returns To Earth In Official Trailer For Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion’

It’s getting spicy on Disney+. The streaming platform has benefitted significantly from its ties with Marvel Studios, releasing subscriber-retention content, such as Loki, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Adding to its powerhouse roster is the new original series, Secret Invasion, starring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos. Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige announced the official trailer at the D23 Expo, along with a host of anticipated sneak peeks. Jackson as Nick Fury steals the show in the action-packed trailer, kicking off with his landing on Earth after four years away from the planet.

Created by Emmy-nominated writer and producer, Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot), Nick Fury and Skrull Talos, characters that crossed paths in Captain Marvel, attempt to mitigate the infiltration of Earth by a new sect of shape-shifting Skrulls.

Among the cast are Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Olivia Colman (The Crown), Cobie Smulders (American Crime Story), Carmen Ejogo (True Detective), Christopher McDonald (Hacks), and Don Cheadle (Black Monday) as James Rhodes — who is working on his own series, Armor Wars, currently in pre-production.

Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim co-direct the series. Executive producers include Marvel’s Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Kevin Feige, and Bradstreet.

The crossover television miniseries will consist of six episodes on Disney+. Its 2023 release on the streamer will join new seasons for Ironheart, Echo, and an rumored Wakanda series from director and producer Ryan Coogler.
