Mya is still on her grind. Fans were delighted when the Grammy Award winning singer dropped her latest music visual “Space And Time” on streaming platforms. On the video directed by Kirk Fraser and May 3rd Films, she is seen embracing nature surrounded by a countryside landscape.
Mya’s sultry voice cautions her listeners to take time for themselves as she sings, “You’re going to feel much better, when you can heal much better…if you take some space and time.”
Although it’s not specified if the song is attached to her upcoming album, the visual comes just in time for a resurgence of the R&B genre and during a time when negativity has been running rampant amid the many challenges of 2020.
The positive vibe and reflective contribution to the music circuit is no surprise from the dancer, actress and business entrepreneur. Mya is a bonafide fan favorite. The R&B and pop artist came to fame in the late 1990s with popular songs “Movin’ On,” “Ghetto Superstar,” and “It’s All About Me.”
Since then, she has faced challenges in the music industry, as many artists do, with being objectified and bullied by tyrants who tried to force her to be something she’s not.
Instead of bowing down, however, Mya went on to create her own independent entity with Planet 9. She is currently working on her 10th independent album on the label.
