The roster of star-studded content continues to grow at Netflix. This time around, two rappers-turned-actors, Queen Latifah and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges star in the heart-racing action thriller, End of the Road.
Based on an original draft penned by Christopher J. Moore with David Loughery writing the screenplay, Latifah is Brenda, a mother of two who travels cross-country with her brother (Bridges) to relocate to Houston, Texas when a motel murder in the middle of nowhere, New Mexico entangles her family into a whole heap of trouble.
In addition to Latifah and Bridges, the cast includes Mychala Lee (Truth Be Told), Beau Bridges (One Night In Miami), Frances Lee McCain (Better Call Saul), Efrain Villa (Better Call Saul), and Jesse Luken (Snowfall).
Millicent Shelton, an Emmy-nominated female director known for her work in the music industry and on shows such as Everybody Hates Chris, Empire, Black-ish, and P-Valley, directs the feature film.
Executive producers are Latifah and longtime associate Shakim Compere, Daniel J. Heffner of Serendipity Productions, and Ben Pugh and Erica Stienberg of production company 42. Tracey E. Edmonds of Edmonds Entertainment Group joins as producer, with her team, Brandon and Dylan Edmonds as co-producers. Mark Burg of Twisted Pictures and Brad Kaplan of Link Entertainment also serve as producers.
End of the Road is expected to be available on Netflix following Labor Day weekend on Sept. 9. Watch the official trailer below:
