QB Russell Wilson’s Home Cooking Is Headed To Mile High Stadium In NFL Trade

The days of, “Let Russ Cook” in Seattle have come to end.  On the cusp of Aaron Rodgers returning to the Green Bay Packers, former Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, is also switching it up as he heads to the Mile High city of Denver in what many around the league consider a “Blockbuster” trade.

According to NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, this is “one of the largest trades in NFL history.”  The precise details of the trade are as follows; Seattle will receive quarterback Drew Lock, tight-end Noah Fant, and defensive lineman Shelby Harris, along with two 1st-round draft picks, two 2nd-round draft picks, and a 5th-round draft pick.

Denver, on the hand, will receive a huge upgrade in the quarterback position that they have not enjoyed since Peyton Manning was behind center, along with Seattle’s 4th-round draft pick.

During his 10-season tenure as Seattle’s quarterback, Wilson, a Lombardi Trophy recipient, amassed over 37,059 passing yards, 292 touchdown passes, a winning records of 104 wins, 53 losses, and one tie along with a postseason record of nine wins and seven losses.  Wilson also made 144 consecutive over a 8-year span.  By 2021, he missed only two starts of his entire career, which is next level durability in a sport as aggressive and demanding as professional football.

Even though terms have been agreed to by both teams, the trade still needs to be approved by Wilson due to his “No-Trade Clause” in his contract.  The trade cannot be officially announced until the new league year on March 16, 2022.
