Somebody watched too much Hunger Games. A senior white man thought he was Katniss Everdeen when he went into the middle of a crowded protest taking place in downtown Salt Lake City and pulled out a bow and arrow.
The man that called himself Brandon McCormick proceeded to point the arrow in the direction of protestors when he yelled out “All lives matter.”
He let off the bow and arrow shooting one of the protestors. The protestors became outraged and someone yelled out “Fuck him up.” Several protestors charged at him. The media had a chance to catch up with him.
“First, I got beat up because I yelled ‘All lives matter’ then I pulled out weapons,” McCormick said. “I lost everything, coming down here trying to protect [police] with what I had.” The protestors would burn up his car and phone.
No one knows what happened to the bow and arrow.
