In a win for positive media, wholesome digital brand BLACK ENTERPRISE nabs the honor for the No. 1 website among Black digital media brands. The business-focused platform also broke a record in April by accumulating more than 8.6 million unique visitors, according to Comscore Media Metrix.
Following BLACK ENTERPRISE in unique viewers are BET (6.08 million), Revolt.tv (5.38 million), TheRoot.com (5.03 million), TheGrio.com Times (4.09 million), and Essence (3.96 million). BLACK ENTERPRISE also surpassed industry peers Fortune, The Street and Kiplinger when the publication landed at No. 16 for business news and information.
“The reinvention of BLACK ENTERPRISE has come at an exciting time for us as we celebrate our 50th anniversary of the brand,” says Earl “Butch” Graves, Jr., President & CEO of BLACK ENTERPRISE. “We have successfully transitioned our brand at a time when many legacy publications across the spectrum have failed. We look forward to continuing to inform and educate our audience on how to obtain Wealth for Life.”
“As we surveyed the landscape, we seized an opportunity to be the leading voice to the Black community,” Justin Barton, BLACK ENTERPRISE VP/Digital Strategy & Partnerships, adds, “by highlighting the positive entrepreneurial and corporate achievements of Black people, which is still too rarely a focus of the mainstream media.”
BLACK ENTERPRISE was founded in 1970 as a premier hub for business, investing and wealth accumulation in the Black community. Since its inception, the brand has grown to provide multimedia and digital content.
