Police Arrest Van Nuys Store Owners Who Flagged Them Down For Help With Looters

Police are under fire again after arresting innocent store owners of a convenient store victimized by looters on Monday.

A group of looters stole items from a convenient store in Van Nuys, California. The store owners, who just so happened to be black, called the police for assistance. Local news channel Fox 11 was live on the scene when the incident occurred.

On the video that was recorded by Fox 11, the store owners and news staff attempt to flag down police officers that are speeding by the store. However, when the police arrives, they go straight to the owners and their friends and proceed to arrest them.

Meanwhile, six looters quietly walk away from the scene, unnoticed by the police until the Fox 11 reporter alerted police that they had apprehended the wrong people.

The footage is unbelievable as they place the owners in handcuffs and mass confusion pervades. Eventually, some of the looters are captured. However, it was a chaotic and embarrassing situation for all involved.

Many people on social media explained that this is why they are so apprehensive about calling police for help when in distress. The person calling just might be the one to get arrested and interrogated.

Nowadays, it seems that the camera is a black person’s best friend. If the incident was not recorded who knows how this would have ended for the store owners.
