In a twist in the Antonio Brown saga, the New England Patriots released Brown as a result of a NFL probe into the recent sexual assault allegations brought against the 31-year-old football star. This will be the second time that Brown has been released from a team this football season.
Brown was recently released from the Oakland Raiders. He was able to finesse the situation by signing with the Patriots within hours of the release. Then, mysteriously, several allegations about sexual assault began leaking to the world. Foul play, who knows?
The Patriots issued a statement, “The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”
Brown is being accused of sexually assaulting his former trainer Britney Taylor. She is claiming that she was raped by Brown in 2018 and also was assaulted on two different occasions.
Another unidentified woman is claiming that Brown was inappropriate when she was hired to paint a mural of him.
The story is still developing.
