‘P-Valley’ Shows Mad Love To Houston With Tina Snow Appearance At The Pynk On Episode 9

It was evident that Houston culture would be offering its two cents on the down south drama series P-Valley when Megan Thee Stallion was spotted at the sophomore season, red carpet premiere on June 2. Nearing its finale, Megan, who also goes by the alias Tina Snow — an ode to H-Town legend Pimp C — finally made her appearance on the ninth episode in the 10-episode Starz series.

On an invite from rising rapper Lil’ Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson), Meg graced the Chucalissa strip joint with her presence to perform an original piece called “Get It On The Floor,” during a spicy onstage pole session featuring the one and only Keyshawn (Shannon Thornton) and Whisper (Psalms), orchestrated by director Jenée LaMarque.

Not only did Megan fit perfectly well in the casting, but the brewing love affair between Houston and the Dirty Delta is a storyline that deserves a fair shake. Better yet, imagine Katori Hall, creator of the series, starting a whole new series based on the widely influential, but often understated, Houston, Texas. Y’all ain’t ready!

In the meantime, P-Valley is in the midst of a slow build that is certainly destined to end in an explosion. Autumn (Elarica Johnson) is hinting at being pregnant by mayoral candidate Andre Watkins (Parker Sawyers). Keyshawn is exhaustingly still planning her escape from ole’ boy.

Roulette (Gail Bean) is slowly stealing the show with her boss-like mentality and crazy shenanigans. Mercedes (Brandee Evans) is still not stepping into her purpose, and Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan), whose back is being blown out several episodes this season, is dealing with losses on all sides — except for her hair and fits, which are always next level.

P-Valley is not for the timid or weak-minded. With that said, we’re already ready for season 3. The final episode is set to air Sunday, Aug. 14 on Starz, and will also be accessible through Prime Video.
