Childhood favorite Sonic The Hedgehog is finally getting his just due with his very own feature film.
Who can forget the days of old when Sega Genesis introduced us to the speeding blue blur called Sonic The Hedgehog in the 1990s?
Following the same storyline of the classic game, Sonic The Hedgehog is a story about Sonic and his best friend Tom (James Marsden) partnering up to defeat the evil tech genius Dr. Robotnik and stop his plans for world domination.
Jim Carrey lends his voice as Dr. Robotnik, while Ben Schwartz is the voice of Sonic. The live-action adventure also stars Tika Sumpter, Neal McDonough, and Natasha Rothwell.
The film is directed by Jeff Fowler and ironically, produced by the producers of The Fast And The Furious.
The fun trailer already has over 10 million views on YouTube, with more than 600k thumbs up.
Sonic The Hedgehog will be in theatres on Valentine’s Day, 2020.
