Nicki Minaj Becomes First Woman Special Guest Operator On ‘Call Of Duty: Warzone’ And ‘Modern Warfare II’

In celebration of 50 years of hip hop, Activision’s Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone has enlisted three special guest Operators for Season 05 of the game.

Nicki Minaj, an avid player of Call of Duty herself, will be the game’s “first-ever, self-named female Operator,” said Activision. In past seasons, Call of Duty has featured women in these roles, but they were all fictional characters.

A teaser photo of Minaj as a game avatar shows her suited up in a ruby metallic fit, perfect for Minaj’s “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” persona. She also carries a signature pink assault rifle which will more likely be part of the in-season Operator Bundle on Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone

This will not be the first time that Minaj has teamed up with Call of Duty. In 2022, she starred in a promo for Modern Warfare II’s “Squad Up,” alongside other celebrity talent, hinting to her possible debut on the popular battlefield game.

Snoop Dogg returns with his own unique Operator Bundle available at launch. The busy rapper has been a longtime participant of the franchise, making his debut in 2014.

Slaughter King, 21 Savage, will have an Operator Bundle as a mid-season feature of Call of Duty’s Reloaded options and include new Prestige Rank levels and award system.

As part of Call of Duty celebrating 50 years of hip hop, players will also receive a week of free War Tracks celebrating the music genre as soundtracks to their gaming experience.

“The first three days will grant a War Track from the ’80s (Foundation), ’90s (Golden Era), or 2000s (Life After Y2K),” a statement from Activision reads. “Everyone will receive free hip hop War Tracks for logging in between August 7 and August 16. Simply go online in Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone on four separate days within that time period.”

Now, the Barbs, Minaj’s fanbase, have a new reason to dust off their gaming skills!
