Nearly 24 years after hip hop king Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in Los Angeles at the age of 24, his camp is keeping his legacy alive through a new documentary tracking the rap star on his rise to fame.
In Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell, the Brooklyn rapper’s best friend Damion “D-Roc” Butler shares footage he filmed of Christopher Wallace. The documentary will also include interviews with his mother Voletta Wallace, Faith Evans, Lil’ Cease and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Emmett Malloy, who has directed several music video shorts, directed the hip hop documentary, while Dream Team: Birth of the Modern Athlete scribe penned the doc.
The documentary will be released March 1 on Netflix.
