No other female rapper has been able to demonstrate the same exertion of greatness since the inception of Missy into the hip-hop game. This rings even more true when considering that Missy was able to sustain a nearly two decade career without having to overly expose her body to the world or using gimmicky publicity stunts to gain attention. Her latest music video for “Cool Off” is directed by Daniel Russell who also directed Offset and Cardi B’s “Clout”, Khalid and Disclosure’s “Know Your Worth”, and Normani’s “Motivation”. The video is a sequel to Missy’s “Throw It Back” video released in August 2019. Teyana Taylor makes a repeat cameo in the video.
