Netflix is on a roll with hit productions as they continue to provide subscribers with polarizing projects. Now, the streaming giant will premiere an extraordinary documentary on former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Becoming is “an intimate look into the life of Mrs. Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House.”
Directed by Nadia Hallgren (American Factory), the film gives insight to the former First Lady as she goes on a 34-city tour for her best-selling memoir of the same name. The memoir delves into Obama’s life through childhood up until her time at the White House.
The film is produced through Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground production partnership with Netflix. The documentary will stream on Netflix on Wednesday, May 6. See the trailer below.
