Megan Thee Stallion is going out good this year. The Roc Nation rapper is debuting her new album Good News and her Texas-inspired Fashion Nova clothing line all in one week.
The “Savage” rapper comes out swinging in the music ring with a 17-track album that includes her singles “Girls In The Hood” and the “Savage Remix” featuring fellow Houston native Beyonce.
Earlier in the month, Megan Thee Stallion and Young Thug teamed up for the Alice In Wonderland, strip club hybrid “Don’t Stop,” where Thugger gives another stellar performance as his version of Edward Scissorhands in the music video (We love it!).
Other features on the album include Dababy, City Girls, Lil Durk, SZA, Popcaan, Mustard, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz. In celebration of Megan’s album release, she will premiere her new music video for her single “Body” on YouTube this Thursday, Nov. 19.
Megan is shaking things up in the fashion world, as well. The Fashion Nova celebrity collection will include denim top and bottom sets, halter tops, animal prints, bodysuits and more.
“Honestly, working with Fashion Nova was great. They really allowed me to be creative,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a Vogue interview. “I love having freedom to express myself, so not only was I so excited to be creating a collection for women like me, I was also excited to be able to watch my vision unfold. The beautiful thing with fashion is you have all these ideas, and when they are executed, you see all kinds of women wearing what was once just ideas in your head—the vision literally comes to life. It’s really amazing.”
When it comes to what are the must haves for any outfit that the Houstonian puts together, she loves a good fit, accessories, and a confident attitude to match.
“I want women of all heights, sizes, and shapes to see themselves represented, and to know that they are being thought of,” she said. “To try something on the first time and be like, “Wow, this just fits me perfectly,” no adjustments needed. When you’re taller or curvier, that doesn’t happen that often, and it’s a really good feeling that everyone deserves to have.”
The Fashion Nova X Megan Thee Stallion collection is available now on the Fashion Nova website, while the album Good News releases Friday, Nov. 20, on all steaming platforms.
