Megan Thee Stallion Is First Artist To Launch Concert Series With Virtual Reality Live Event Platform AmazeVR

Can’t keep a H-Town girl down. Megan Thee Stallion is treading on some new territory with a venture into the VR universe. The “Crying In The Car” diva is inviting music listeners to join her in a first-of-its-kind VR concert experience called Hottieverse. The Houston rapper made the announcement across her social media and on YouTube.

Megan Thee Stallion is the first artist to launch a concert series with the VR concert platform. The 30-minute Hottieverse experience will tour 10 cities from April 5th through July 3rd. The VR tour will kick off in Los Angeles at AMC The Grove 14, then head to San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Washington D.C., and New York.

AmazeVR provides a new concert experience that brings fans face-to-face with artists in a 3D style, 8K+ stereoscopic live-action visualization of a VR world. The company is working with theaters to transform traditional auditoriums into state-of-the-art VR concert venues, complete with headsets, surround sound, and CG-rendered clarity.Patrons will be able to interact with other concertgoers while enjoying the concert.

Since its founding in 2015, AmazeVR has received a total funding of $30.8 million, with $9.5 million retrieved from their Series A fundraising in 2019. The company linked with Roc Nation in 2020 after building their Unreal Engine-based technical foundation.

Its 40+ workforce consists of a conglomerate of tech, gaming, music, and entertainment professionals. Corporate headquarters is located in Los Angeles, while a second office has been established in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Ticket prices vary based on location, ranging from $39.99 to $49.99. Tickets can be purchased at AmazeVR.com on March 2nd at 10 am PST.
