Lil Wayne is in a celebratory mood. In an attempt for normalcy amid the ever-changing pandemic situation, the “I’m Me” rapper is bringing his gift of rap to the Torch as the headliner of the UPROAR Hip Hop Festival taking place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday, Aug. 13. The event is being sponsored by GKUA, an ultra premium cannabis brand.
“CampNova, with Lil Wayne, is giving away VIP live stream tickets with every purchase of GKUA Ultra Premium cannabis products available for sale at www.campnovaonline.com,” a statement from CampNova said. “The giveaway also includes CampNova’s retail partners — Hellapaxx and Smoke On The Water, delivery companies tasked to deliver tickets directly to customers who order GKUA between Aug. 10-13. GKUA is available for same or next-day delivery.”
Members of Young Money and surprise guests will also be taking the stage, including “GANG GANG” music artist Polo G. Open to all ages, the red carpet event will consist of a $5,000 dance competition featuring host Samantha Long, and guest judges Lil Buck and Jon Boogz, a GKUA-inspired art walk, and a V.I.P. Bar & Lounge.
“GKUA is about feeling inspired,” Lil Wayne said. “I’m looking forward to sharing that GKUA inspiration from the L.A. Coliseum. It is time to celebrate with friends.”
A livestream of the event will be provided courtesy of festival platform Mandolin, which specializes in producing interactive festival livestreams with a selection of engagement options. The livestream will give viewers access to backstage interviews and content and various views of the event. VIP Virtual Ticket holders will get exclusive access to the artist tent, enabling viewers an opportunity to engage with artists.
Virtual general admission tickets cost $25, while VIP tickets range from $75-$125. In-person tickets range from $89 for unreserved general admission, to $179 for VIP general admission. Doors open at 7 p.m. PST.
