LightSkinKeisha took a break from her debut acting gig on Power Book II: Ghost as the dichotomously intellectual and ratchet student Brushaundria Carmichael to remind us she’s the “Pop Sh*t Queen.”
The Brandin Blanco produced single joins the ranks of a 2022 hip hop renaissance that is seeing authentic female empowered spitters return to the forefront of the music circuit.
Dressed in a sheer, all-black fit adorned with the most ostentatious drip (jewelry), the controversially named rapper flexes in and around a Miracle Whip colored Rose Royce laden with a multitude of Hermes Birkin bags on the hood. She snaps on the nearly three minute track, criticizing her lovesick and broke peers.
LSK (as we like to call her) raps, “You b*tches praying and wishing a n*gga would love you / And that’s why y’all go out the saddest.”
She continues, “I’m the ceiling, you b*tches be under me / GPS, you know I’m where the hunnids be / These Amiri’s they cost me a rack a piece / Ain’t no limit, cuz I got that Master P.”
“Pop Sh*t Queen” comes after a year of tremendous work ethic where the curvy wonder dropped her album Break the Bank, along with the singles “FDH,” “Drama,” “TOP B*TCH,” “Blue Hunnids,” “Margarita,” and “Freaky Dancer” featuring all-star rapper Trina. She also wrapped on filming the second season of the popular Starz series.
Keisha made headway in the entertainment industry as a connoisseur of social media, utilizing the many platforms to promote her music. After signing to the HitCo recording label, Keisha would diversify her public persona as a spicy addition to Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out in 2019, and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and Power Book II in 2020.
A natural actress, LSK is not timid at all about shining her light in a dusty world. Watch the music video below:
