LeBron James And Maverick Carter In Talks To Possibly Sell SpringHill Company, Valued At $750 Million

It’s business as usual for SpringHill Company. Owner, LeBron James, and his business partner, Maverick Carter, are allegedly seeking investors or buyers to snag the goldmine production company for a possible huge cash out.

The Los Angeles Laker and his longtime friend officially launched the company in 2020 with $100 million in raised capital. Under it’s belt are memorable projects, such as Survivor’s Remorse, Shut Up and Dribble, The Shop, and Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. Its newest project, Space Jam: A New Legacy, releases July 16, while House Party is currently in pre-production. The unique slate has increased SpringHill’s value, giving the company a whopping $750 million valuation, according the Information.

It has been a buyer’s market throughout the pandemic with Hollywood and big business disrupting the status quo via a number of attention-grabbing mergers and acquisitions. Oprah Winfrey sold her OWN Studios, while Issa Rae executed a total rebranding amid signing a deal with Warner Media. Speaking of Warner Media, the company merged with Discovery, and Amazon bought MGM, along with a host of niche companies.

If there are any interested buyers, it would be Nike, who made a nearly billion dollar deal with James when he turned 18 years old. Nike is said to be in preliminary talks with SpringHill, but details have yet to be confirmed.
