Kentucky Husband And Wife Team Up To Launch Black-Owned Bourbon Brand

Sean and Tia Edwards, the owners of Fresh Bourbon Distilling Co. are about to make history in the Bluegrass State.  With pre-orders expected to ship later this year or as early as 2021, the Native Kentuckians are the first African Americans to make bourbon that is developed fully from grain-to-glass in the state of Kentucky.

To honor this special occasion, consumers who pre-order will have several options to choose from, including “a presentation in a celebratory commemorative package with our signature rocks glass and a branded shirt.”

Since 2017, the Edwards have been working tirelessly to formulate distinctive bourbons, whiskeys, among other spirits, while simultaneously opening a distillery.

Their hard work finally paid off when in February 2020 the Kentucky Senate noticed their achievements and recognized the Fresh Bourbon Distilling Company as the first black-owned distillery in the state.  Located in Lexington, Kentucky, the distillery sits on 35,000 square-foot and will offer tours, access to a gift shop, a concert space and tasting room.

The Bourbon recipe only uses the highest quality of ingredients that produces a superior top-shelf beverage.  The flavor profile consists of rich and sweet notes that will please the bourbon enthusiast, while also attracting all other drinkers.

Sean Edwards stated, “For nearly three years, we have been diligently developing an authentic and unique Bourbon and spirits line. We chose not to buy Bourbon from someone else and just place our name on a bottle. We have been very intentional and deliberate in crafting our spirits – from the mash bills up.”

Pre-orders are available until September 30 at FreshBourbon.com.
