Katt Williams Stops Comedy Set When Audience Member Faints, References Astroworld

In an incident of irony, comedian Katt Williams halted his live show when a member of the audience fainted the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday.

“I’m sorry if I won’t move on but that s— that happened at that Astroworld s—, that mean we can’t never continue until we know somebody m—–f——- good,” said Williams while on stage.

The comedian proceeded to pause the comedy set for about 10 minutes as emergency personnel was called to assist the man. While the medics helped the man, Williams further clarified to the audience why he made the decision to stop the show.

“I’m not [going to] be leaving with nothing on my conscious,” said Williams as the man was taken away by the medics. “We made the right decision.”

The audience appeared to support Williams, 50, decision to stop the show, clapping and waiting patiently for the comedian to continue his set.

Williams’ action comes after the devastating 50,000-person stampede that killed at least eight people on Friday night at Travis Scott’s third annual music festival Astroworld in Houston.

While the rapper was performing on stage, audience members were chanting for the concert to stop to no avail when several people started passing out and being crushed by the crowd. The horrific events of that night caused the festival to be canceled and the event organizers to be embattled in a lawsuit.
