In a sad twist of news, famed rapper Juice WRLD passed away after suffering from what is now being reported as cardiac arrest at the Chicago Midway airport on Sunday, Dec. 8. He was 21.
Juice WRLD, born Jarad Anthony Higgins, had just arrived to Chicago from California when he appeared to suffer from a seizure. Witnesses said that they saw the “Lucid Dreams” rapper walking when the seizure took place and he started bleeding from the mouth, according to TMZ.
However, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the star suffered cardiac arrest while at a private hangar. Larry Langford of the Chicago Fire Department confirmed that a call for paramedics to arrive to an Atlantis Air private jet was made around 2 A.M.
He was taken to the Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His official cause of death has yet to be released, but an autopsy is scheduled on Monday, Dec. 10.
Juice WRLD had just celebrated his 21st birthday on Monday. He had a promising career that consisted of collaborations with music director Cole Bennett, and rap collabs with Ski Mask The Slump God, NBA Youngboy, and Lil Uzi Vert.
The “Legends” rapper was also scheduled to perform as one of the headliners at Hip Hop festival Rolling Loud in Los Angeles on Dec. 14.
