Viewers have fallen in love with Joie In Life, a YouTube lifestyle series created by Joie Chavis.
The mother to Atlanta rappers Future and Bow Wow’s children launched the series on her YouTube channel in mid-February.
At the moment, the channel has four videos that cover fitness, health and life. Her first video, “Q+A with Joie Chavis” starts off with Chavis answering questions from her followers.
She talks about her workout routine, which includes the stairs and Soul Cycle, and how she dealt with her mental health after giving birth.
When asked what was the biggest misconception about her, she said people think she only cares about bags and designer clothes.
“Another thing is like, oh she’s a gold digger. Oh, she’s just, you know, having babies to secure a bag,” said Chavis in the video. “I’ve always have worked since I was 15 years old. I don’t know what it’s like to not do anything.”
“VLOG #1” shows Chavis taking a flight, working out in the gym, shopping and eating out.
Chavis’ third and most popular video “What I Eat In A Day” gives great insight into her breakfast, lunch and dinner meal options. Her go to morning grab is celery juice. She swears by it that it has done her skin and stomach some good.
For breakfast, she likes chicken sausage, egg whites with spinach, and rolled oats with fruit. Lunch includes a skinless chicken salad with veggies. Then she caps the day off with a salmon, sweet potato and asparagus meal.
Then, the trained dancer released her fourth video “15 Minute Booty Workout – At Home with Joie Chavis” showing some great lower body workouts that can be done at home.
So far, the series has been insightful and shows a different side of a woman that we’ve known so long to be someone’s baby mother. With that said, The MouthSoap has a few topic requests that we hope make it to Chavis’ ears.
We would love to see a video on your skincare and makeup routine. A video showing your routine before you go to sleep would be great, too. We would like to hear you talk about relationships, heartbreak and self-esteem. Career advice and giving the viewers a glimpse of how you earn money would be interesting.
Lastly, we would also like to hear from you and your girlfriends as the clique discusses female-centric issues, such as frenemies, loyalty, competition, cattiness, female empowerment and vulnerability.
We could go on and on, but these are just a few things we would love to see from the lovely Ms. Joie Chavis. We’re tapped in!
