Jeremih Hospitalized After Being Diagnosed With COVID-19

Music artist Jeremih is reportedly in the hospital fighting COVID-19, according to several reports. The 33-year-old is battling the virus while in intensive care on a ventilator machine at a Chicago hospital.

The news first broke when many of the singer’s colleagues posted well wishes for him on social media.

“Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him,” fellow Chicagoan Chance The Rapper said on Twitter.

“Pray for my boy @jeremih he’s not doing good this covid s–t is real,” 50 Cent said.

“I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih this message is posted with his mothers blessings,” Hitmaka, rapper and producer, said in a post on Instagram.

Born Jeremy Felton, the Chicago native made his debut with self-titled album Jeremih — a work that earned him a nomination at the American Music Awards and landed on the Billboard charts with hit single “Birthday Sex” in 2009. Since then, he has released three studio albums, including All About You, Late Nights and MihTy.
