For the first time, TV host Jeannie Mai spoke about her relationship with rapper Young Jeezy on morning talk show The Real.
Out of nowhere, Jeannie Mai and Jeezy dropped photos on the Internet of them at the Snowball Gala, benefitting Jeezy’s non-profit.
Then, more photos were released on Instagram of the two happily hugging each other.
“Getting to know him has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life,” Jeannie Mai beamed. “I found my equal.”
Jeannie Mai and Jeezy met in November of 2018 during a taping of The Real. The lovebirds had just come out of long-term relationships with other people.
“We’re in our 40s, and what I think is that God somehow managed our timing so that we spent time after our long-term relationships, we both came from 10-year relationships and we really worked on ourselves to really understand what healthy love is like,” said Jeannie Mai.
The talk show host admitted that she didn’t know Yeezy’s government name, Jay Jenkins, when she went on her first date with him. For 4 hours, they sat in a sushi restaurant talking about everything. Then, they went out salsa dancing.
By the end of the night, Jeezy gave Jeannie Mai a homework assignment. He wanted her to think about the last 8 hours they spent together and how she envisioned them together and if they both had the same ideas he would pursue her.
The two have been inseparable since. Watch Jeannie Mai talk about her relationship in the clip below:
