Jason Momoa is quickly joining the ranks of the greatest action heroes of all time, safely nestled with the unconventional leading men of Hollywood such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Will Smith, Jackie Chan, Tom Cruise, and Dwayne Johnson, to name a few.
He’s already made a splash on Game of Thrones, Aquaman, and Dune. Now, the buff protagonist is set to star in the tenth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. The plot details have yet to be confirmed, but Momoa joins the familiar cast that includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, and Tyrese Gibson. Justin Lin will return to direct.
Notably missing from the lineup is Hobbs, played by fellow action actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who promised to never return to the franchise after his experience working with certain individuals on the set. He is busy, however, with finishing up the Shazam! spinoff, Black Adam and prepping for the upcoming filming of San Andreas 2.
Back to Lisa Bonet’s former beau, Momoa doing pretty well himself. The former Baywatch star may possibly be starring in the reboot of Stallone’s Cliffhanger, which is said to be in pre-production. He also wrapped the 2022 feature Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
F10 is set to release on May 19, 2023.
