Trippie Redd & Lil Gotit Smoke: Is It OK To Leave Flirty Messages On Your Acquaintance’s Ex-Girlfriend’s IG Page?

If you want to end a relationship (or start one), social media is the haven for the lonely. Don’t bother going to a face-to-face meet up to get to know someone. Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are the perfect platforms to meet a mate. Yes, that’s sarcasm. In reality, Instagram, in particular, is filled with bickering bros going back and forth over the same girls.

This is the case for rappers Trippie Redd, 20, and Lil Gotit, 20, slat! On the cusp of Trippie Redd releasing his new album A Love Letter To You 4, which is projected to sell over 100k album units, Atlanta rapper Lil Gotit went on Trippie Redd’s “ex baby mama’s” IG leaving flirty messages talking about “she fine”. Well, the gesture got under Trippie’s skin because he went on IG to blast Lil Gotit.

“I don’t love her or none of that s***t. It’s the principle. You supposed to be my dog. I got in an argument with that b***h to come to your video shoot and shoot a video with you before you were about to take off. That’s how real it is. That’s weird…That’s my ex…that I was with around you.”

The Ohio rapper admitted that he called Lil Gotit to see what was up with the rapper complimenting his ex girlfriend. But, apparently Lil Gotit took it the wrong way. Trippie offered to end the smoke with a fade and then he’d be over it. Instead, Lil Gotit took to social media to let everyone know that he don’t know Trippie like that and he’s not even sweating it over the woman in question.

“You talking about ‘you my brother’, I don’t even know you…Industry and in the streets is two different things,” Lil Gotit said on IG Live. “He mad about a comment, but we both been commenting on each other s***t. He really mad because I did a song with her and she dropped. She had my tattoos on the cover of the single cover.”

Lil Gotit wouldn’t let it go though. He continued to get on Live talking about the situation.

Fans pleaded with Lil Gotit to not burn bridges by hitting on women who dated the men in his circle or that he worked with, but The Real Goat rapper saw it as fair play since he’s only encountered Trippie a couple of times.

“I don’t want no features with no rap n****s. I can do that by myself,” Lil Gotit said. “I didn’t do nothing wrong…He not my best friend, my partner, nothing.”

Fans of Trippie Redd know that he has a soft spot for love. His last few projects, A Love Letter to You (2017), A Love Letter To You 2 (2017), LIFE’S A TRIP (2018), and ! (2019), all make room for unadulterated emotional proclamations about love and loss.

Anyone should know the code. Don’t hit on, date, have sex with people in the circle. Keep those activities far away from where business is conducted, and everything will be fine. If Trippie did indeed bring his former flame around Lil Gotit and the whole time Lil Gotit was plotting to be “in the mix” with her, then that’s out. Period.

Like Lil Gotit said, there’s plenty of women in the world and he’s got charm. So, it shouldn’t be difficult for him to find a woman not associated with people he deals with.

As for Trippie, he wears his heart on his sleeve and that is a dangerous thing to do in this slimy age of social media vultures. Don’t bring those you cherish around grimy dudes. Period. Also, don’t expect associates to have your back and do what’s best for you. Trippie has to look out for Trippie.

In the meantime, Trippie has been promoting his album with a recent music visual of his song “Who Needs Love”. A Love Letter To You 4 is doing well with five songs on Apple Music’s Top 10 list. Trippie also gained two spots on the Top 10 list at Spotify.

Lil Gotit released his mixtape The Real Goat in September and has been making headways on the tour scene.
