Produced by Timur Bekmambetov and Patrick Aiello, the sci-fi will go into production next month. Production will implement a revolutionary “screen capture technology” that allows the actors to perform scenes from their home, as reported by Deadline. The screen capturing technique has been popularized by modern computer-based films Searching and Bekmambetov’s Unfriended.
Bekmambetov created the screenlife technology himself, which aided in securing him a five-picture deal with Universal. Other actors to be cast have not been reveal. However, it has been announced that Rich Lee will direct the sci-fi.
